For most, buying a car is a pretty straightforward event. From November 21 to January 2, however, those who purchase or lease a Subaru will have the opportunity to do more than just buy a vehicle—they will have the chance to help save a life.
Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has been given the wonderful opportunity to participate the sixth annual Subaru Share the Love Event, taking place through January 2, 2014. Subaru by the Bay in Petoskey, will donate $250 to the customer’s choice of five national charities, in addition to one local organization, which includes LTBHS.
To celebrate, we are hosting some fun events this month. From December 6-14, visitors are invited to stop by Subaru by the Bay or go to the LTBHS Facebook page to guess how many cans of pet food are in the Subaru. On Saturday, December 14, the winner will be announced and will receive Twisted Olive $50. gift certificate. Also on December 14, from 11-1 p.m., visitors are invited to bring their pooch to Subaru by the Bay for a complimentary pedicure and to get a photo taken for their very own Subaru pet driver’s license. There will be LTBHS dogs available for adoption at the event, as well.
This is a great opportunity to raise money for homeless animals. Because we are a no-kill, 100 percent donor funded organization, we rely solely on donations to provide a temporary home to companion animals. Every day, we work toward achieving our mission of offering warm shelter, veterinary services, and personal attention to all the animals in our care, as well as proactive methods to control pet overpopulation.
We are grateful to be chosen as the local organization to participate in the Subaru Share the Love event and look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming event on December 14. For anyone who is considering purchasing or leasing a new Subaru this holiday season, please choose LTBHS as your designated organization. Your choice will make a world of difference to a homeless animal and will help us continue our mission to find forever homes for them all.
