Two years ago my husband handed me a leash with black dog attached at the first Furry Fall event. Little did we know it was the unadoptable nearly 6 year-old Chewy (renamed Chui - black panther). It just seemed so right and, as it turned out, he just needed to receive & give love and be on a leash at ALL times. He is our funny forever Valentine!Paws for News!

Because Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is committed to educating the public about the humane treatment of companion animals, staff members visit area schools with shelter dogs and cats to teach children about what it takes to be a good pet owner.
