Danielle Blasko
Executive Director

Danielle oversees all shelter operations, fund development and budgeting for the shelter, boarding and grooming and veterinary clinic. She resides in Charlevoix and has four rescue cats of her own, Tommy Pickles, Unicorn, Dragon and Pegasus. She is also dog mom to foster “fail” pup, Buster.

Dr. Deborah Andreen, DVM
Dr. Andreen has over 20 years’ experience in veterinary medicine with a focus in diagnostic and surgical procedures. She resides in Harbor Springs with her husband, three children, cats Guinness, Clementine and Cookie, and dog, Briar.

Naomi Behrmann
Professional Groomer
Naomi is responsible for grooming LTBHS animals and also provides professional grooming to the public. Naomi has several animals at home including dogs Moose, Eddie, Doodle Bug, and Candy, and cat, Pancake.

Samantha Bohon
Veterinary Clinic Front Office Administrator
Samantha is responsible for managing the clinic’s front office which includes greeting and checking in/out clients, in addition to managing appointments and various other duties. She recently moved to the area from Pittsburg, PA, and enjoys hiking and camping. She has two pets of her own, a dog, Kenzie, and cat, Isabella.

Teresa Chaney
Events Coordinator

Responsible for building the membership base, cultivating relationships with donors and businesses, amplifying public relations, coordinating and facilitating all events. Teresa has been with the organization for more than 10 years. Teresa has one dog of her own, Blossom.

Ky Crawford
Animal Care Attendant
Ky is responsible for the daily care of shelter animals, in addition to greeting visitors/clients and keeping the facility clean. Ky enjoys spending time with their chocolate lab, Willow.

Sean Dempsey
Shelter Operations Manager
Sean is responsible for overseeing the daily care of shelter animals, in addition to managing all day-to-day operations of the shelter. He also assists in the transport and intake of animals at the shelter. Sean has two dogs of his own, Wrigley, a nine-year-old Golden Retriever, and Shelby, a nine-year-old Boxer/Pit mix.

Kassidy Dicus
Veterinary Technician
Kassidy is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Kassidy has two pets of her own, a cat, Ellie, and dog, Ruger.

Dr. Kelly Dumas, DVM
Dr. Dumas lives in Petoskey with her husband, Gary, and children, Heidi and Jack. They have their beloved Shih-poo, Seaweed, cat, Luna, who was adopted from LTBHS, and a loft of racing pigeons. Dr. Dumas has received her “Fear-Free Veterinary Certification”, and enjoys dermatology, preventative medicine and behavior.

Renee Duval
Veterinary Technician
Renee is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Renee has two dogs of her own, Luna and Star.

Jessica Evans
Communication and Marketing Coordinator

Responsible for grant writing and shelter communications including press releases, feature stories, LTBHS newsletter, social media and website. Responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and increasing awareness of LTBHS by facilitating positive public relations and creating printed materials. When not at LTBHS, Jessica enjoys spending time with her own cats, Bonnie and Blossom.

Morgan Fox
Shelter and Community Medicine Veterinary Technician
Morgan is responsible for assisting with all aspects of caring for shelter animals including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general care. Morgan has one dog of her own named Sophie.

Sonya Gerathy
Shelter Administrator
Sonya is likely the first face to greet LTBHS visitors at the front desk and always does so with a friendly smile. She is responsible for helping care for shelter animals, assiting with adoptions and maintaining excellent customer care. Sonya stays busy at home keeping up with her three dogs, Norman, Porter and Teagan (formerly Sugar, adopted from LTBHS).

Dr. Diane Gildersleeve, DVM
Dr. Gildersleeve serves as the organization’s Shelter and Community Medicine Veterinarian. Dr. Gildersleeve has over 20 years experience in veterinary medicine, focusing specifically in spay/neuter procedures. When she’s not helping keep the animals at the shelter healthy and happy, she enjoys spending time with her own animals to include dog, Gil, and cat, Felix.

Madisyn Glenn
Boarding and Grooming Animal Care Attendant
Madisyn is responsible for the daily care of boarding and grooming animals, in addition to greeting visitors/clients and keeping the facility clean. Madisyn has one dog of her own, Bella, and a cat, Beau.

Shannon Graves
Foster Coordinator
Shannon coordinates the LTBHS Foster Program. She also works closely with the Animal Care Attendants on behavior and enrichment for shelter animals. Shannon has two dogs of her own, Lucy, a black lab, and Emma, a shih-poo.

Elizabeth Hart
Lead Animal Care Attendant
Responsible for the daily care of shelter animals, supervising kennel staff, training, and walking dogs. Elizabeth has been with LTBHS for more than 10 years. When not at LTBHS, Elizabeth spends time with her dog, Bobby.

Lisa Hopkins
Director of Administration

Lisa’s duties include managing employee benefits, new employee on-boarding, purchasing items for the organization, in addition to managing insurance for the shelter, boarding/grooming, and veterinary clinic. She also is responsible for tracking expenses and works closely with the Director of Finance to reconcile all organization ledgers. When not at the clinic, Lisa enjoys cuddling with her own dogs, Mama Mia, Tank, and Karma.

Beverly Ironside

Beverly helps to maintain the shelter’s accounts and finances, in addition to providing IT support for the entire organization. She has been with the organization for over 15 years. When not at the shelter, Beverly enjoys spending time with her own dog, Taz.

Jen Juilleret
Clinic Director
Jen is responsible for the everyday business activities of the practice. She is also responsible for managing the clinic’s front office which includes greeting and checking in/out clients, in addition to managing appointments and various other duties. Jen has over 25 years of experience as a veterinary technician and enjoys spending time with her dog, Finni, when she’s not at the clinic.

Kaydin is responsible for the daily care of boarding and grooming animals, in addition to greeting visitors/clients and keeping the facility clean. Kaydin enjoys spending time with her own pets, dogs Riley and Ryder, along with cats, KiKi, Clive, and Sweet Pea.

Chelsea Minzey
Veterinary Technician
Chelsea is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Chelsea has two dogs of her own, Rio, and Doc. She also has many farm animals that she cares for at home.

Dawn McNamara
Veterinary Technician
Dawn is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Dawn has one dog of her own, Kayta, and a cat, Baby Girl.

Nancy Parker
Veterinary Clinic Front Office Administrator
Nancy is responsible for managing the clinic’s front office which includes greeting and checking in/out clients, in addition to managing appointments and various other duties. Nancy has two pets of her own, a Great Pyrenees, Dozer, and cat, Bella.

Madison Proctor
Professional Groomer
Madison is responsible for grooming LTBHS animals and also provides professional grooming to the public. When Madison isn’t at LTBHS, she spends time with her own dogs, Gus, a beagle/spaniel, and Rascal, a Pomeranian/poodle. She also has three cats, Boots, Peach, and Jinx.

Elise Ramsey
Director of Operations
Elise serves as the organization’s Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing all shelter activities/operations in addition to boarding, grooming, and daycare services. Elise was previously employed as a certified animal cruelty investigator at Michigan Humane in Detroit for eight years. Elise has three pets of her own, a cat named Roger, and two dogs, Rook and Francesca.

MD Ribeiro
Veterinary Technician
MD is responsible for assisting in laboratory procedures, radiographs, surgery, dental cleanings/exams and general patient care. MD enjoys spending time with his own dogs, Yuki, a Siberian Husky, and Yuuna, a Husky/Corgi mix.

Sarah Schertel
Training and Behavior Specialist
Sarah serves the training needs of the organization and also offers classes to the public. She oversees the LTBHS Mutts With Manners and Ruff to Ready Programs. She provides dog tutoring sessions to LTBHS daycare/boarding clients along with additional training classes. At home, Sarah has three dogs of her own, Vaughn a black Labrador, Reo a Chihuahua mix, and Ayla a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd.

Elizabeth Sanchez
Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Elizabeth has three dogs of her own to include Oliver, Smooch, and Panini. She also has a horse, Annie.

Gillian Smith
Veterinary Technician
Gillian is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Gillian has one dog of her own, Max.

Steffany Whittaker
Veterinary Technician
Steffany is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the clinic including surgery, x-ray, laboratory and ultrasound procedures in addition to general patient care. Steffany has one dog of her own, Lux, an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog, and two rats, Jack and Dom.

Dr. Katie Zubricky, DVM
Dr. Zubricky has special interests in soft tissue surgery, oral health treatments, internal medicine and client education. Dr. Zubricky is a graduate of Colorado State University and lives in Harbor Springs with her fiancé, Mike, their two dogs and cat. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, reading and crafting.
